The round got off to a slightly slower start, as a shocked TD Amy Byrne announced we were running 15 minutes late. Part of that was my fault - I had to reprint Division B pairings, as I had forgotten to leave Dominic Borg out and only noted because he was slated to play a top contender. The rest was the hotel's: they had neglected to refresh the tea and coffee service in time for the break. It's a good thing we're ordering lunch in; that should save at least ten minutes on the lunch break.

Nigel Richards (MYS) beats Vincent Boyle (Sco) 571-313 and is now 9-2 +1947. Helen Gipson (Sco) beats Jojo Delia (MLT) 442-354 and is +589. Jojo is alone at 8-3, and the four players at 7-4 are David Webb (Eng), Terry Kirk (Eng), Vincent Boyle (Sco) and Joanne Craig (AUS).

Over in Division B, Jayne MacKenzie (Eng) beat Pawlu Frendo (MLT) 416-306 and remains alone at 10-1 +818, Charles Micallef (MLT) beat Yvonne Delia (MLT) 465-273 to remain alone at 9-1 with the same +818 spread. He has a two-game lead on the four players at 7-4: Paul Mifsud (MLT), Mary Doyle (IRL), Annemarie Holland (MLT) and Catalin Caba (ROM).
