Sam Kantimathi (USA) and Raymond Tate (Sco) played the first drawn game of the tournament, ending in a 367-367 tie.

Craig Beevers (Eng) had the high game of the tournament so far, 723-419 against Jojo Delia (MLT). That's the high winning score and the highest combined score (1142). You can play through it in the Games section: see if you can do better.

Nigel Richards (MYS) beat Joanne Craig (AUS) at Board 1, 503-368; Helen Gipson (Sco) beat Terry Kirk (Eng) at Board 2, 417-405. Nigel ends the day at 14-3 +2739 (sic), Helen in second at 13-4 +746. Vincent Boyle (Sco) and Joanne are in third and fourth at 11-6 with spreads of -5 and -376; each would have positive spread had they not played Nigel.

Nigel had the best record today: 8-1 +1524. David Delicata was the only person to win seven games today, +250. Three of those wins were by fewer than 20 points; he has won five games so far here by a total of +61. Nobody went winless.

Over to Division B. Jayne MacKenzie (Eng) beat Charles Micallef (MLT) in their second match, 384-333, giving her a two-game lead: 15-2 +1470 ahead of 13-4 +1320. Annemarie Holland (MLT) beat Paul Mifsud (MLT) 447-390 and closes the gap to only one game behind Charles. Catalin Caba (ROM), Mary Doyle (IRL) and Anna Borg (MLT) all won their games too, and remain one game behind Annemarie at 11 wins.

Play resumes tomorrow morning at 9:00 A.M. local time, with the same nine-game schedule that we had today. Good night!
