Round 9: The top ten players after the last round are a pretty cosmopolitan group with 2 Israelis Evan Cohen (ISR) 1st and Paloma Raychbart (ISR) 5th; Nigel Richards (NZL) 2nd, and Joanne Craig (NZL) 5th from New Zealand; Edward Martin (Eng) 3rd, Jared Robinson (Eng) 8th and Chris Keeley (Eng) 9th from England; Mohammad Sulaiman (PAK) 6th from Pakistan; Sam Kantimathi (USA) 7th from USA and Helen Gipson (Sco) 10th from Scotland. This is the final round before lunch and the hall has been noticeably quieter - perhaps the players' blood sugar has dropped and they can't multi-task as usual i.e. they can't play and make noisy conversation at the same time! Evan has just won yet another game and is the only player unbeaten after 9 rounds - congratulations to him, he has definitely earned his lunch.
