In the annotated game at Board 1, it's Evan Cohen (ISR) vs. Mikki Nicholson (Eng) again. At Board 2, Carmel Dodd (AUS) vs. Helen Gipson (Sco) again. Evan is 16½; Helen 15; Mikki, Yi En and Carmel 14. Evan beats Miki, Helen beats Carmel, and Yi En beats Jojo, so the net result is that Evan is one game closer to victory and Yi En and Mikki have just traded places in the rankings.

After this round, a short meta-simulation shows the following chances of placing in the top three.

In Division B, Margaret Armstrong (Eng) is Gibsonized and playing Anna Borg (MLT). Second-ranked Jim Wilkie (Sco) plays fourth-ranked Catalin Caba (ROM) and defeats him 421-375. Jim and Gila stay in second and third place, but now it's Jim 16, and all of Gila, Albert and Pauline Cilia (MLT) on 14 with only two rounds to go. Jim only needs to win one game to clinch second place.
